Hi, I am Wiebke Anton

Helping couples stay connected

while navigating life abroad—

because thriving relationships don’t just happen, they’re designed.

Helping Couples stay connected -

No matter where life takes them

Relocating can be a fresh start. It’s exciting, disorienting, and full of possibility—all at once. But for many couples, that sense of a new beginning also brings unexpected challenges. Suddenly, you’re not just navigating a new city or culture—you’re redefining your relationship.

That’s where my passion lies: helping couples embrace change without losing their connection.

I believe that a move abroad is an incredible opportunity to create something new as a couple — a chance to intentionally shape how you move forward together.

This belief inspired me to write The Relationship Reboot—a guide and program to starting fresh with purpose and clarity.

I’ve always been fascinated by relationships—what makes them thrive, how they change, and why some couples grow closer during challenging transitions while others struggle.

That curiosity, combined with my own experiences as an expat, shaped the work I do today. I don’t have a dramatic “hero story” to tell. My journey into relationship coaching wasn’t sparked by a single transformative moment—it was a gradual, deliberate path shaped by personal experience and professional growth.

I’m an expat myself, and my life with my intercultural family has taken me from Europe to Central Asia and Africa. I know firsthand the excitement, the chaos, and the moments of doubt that come with relocating abroad.

Why I do this work

I know what it’s like to start over—in new places, with new routines, and sometimes even new roles within your relationship. It’s not just about adjusting to a new place—it’s about rediscovering who you are as a couple in a completely new context.

That’s why I’m passionate about supporting couples who are trying to find their rhythm again after a move. It’s not just about surviving the transition—it’s about building something together, intentionally creating a dynamic that works in your new life.

How I work

When couples work with me, they know they’re getting someone who is direct and determined, but always with kindness. I don’t sugarcoat challenges, but I also don’t approach them with judgment. My clients often tell me that they perceive me as systematic and efficient. I have a knack for spotting patterns and pitfalls that others tend to overlook—or underestimate.

My work is about helping couples build their own unique “couple culture” — a dynamic that feels authentic, fulfilling, and sustainable for them.

Here, my approach is simple: I know that no two relationships are the same, and I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, I work with each couple to design a dynamic that feels right for them—grounded in honest communication and a shared vision.

More than Coaching

My passion for helping couples navigate life abroad didn’t just develop from my own experiences—it’s backed by professional training and ongoing learning. I’m certified in relationship coaching and mediation and hold a PhD in Social Sciences. I blend research and intuition into a structured coaching process that’s both supportive and results-driven. Drawing on the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, my work is grounded in proven techniques that help couples foster lasting harmony and stability.

I co-founded the Expat Couples Summit to create a space where couples living abroad can learn and connect with coaches and therapists in the Expat service industry.

I’ve also shared my insights on several podcasts, discussing how to keep relationships strong amid life transitions.
